{"id":1871,"date":"2013-06-05T15:37:21","date_gmt":"2013-06-05T15:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.loomandlast.com\/blog\/?p=1871"},"modified":"2019-01-29T15:38:53","modified_gmt":"2019-01-29T15:38:53","slug":"blue-and-white-for-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.loomandlast.com\/blog\/blue-and-white-for-summer\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue and White for Summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">g<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Loom and Last are based in London&#8217;s Chelsea Wharf, a small complex facing the Thames that consists of tall buildings on two sides, which creates a strong wind tunnel between the buildings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recent sunshine has been deceptive, as I wander downstairs for a spot of sun and step outside to realise I look like a Borrower that\u2019s got stuck in a (cold) hair-dryer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, for everyone else who doesn\u2019t work in my tiny section of Chelsea, summer is here! The geometrics are bang on trend and the blue and white pattern brightens up the entire room. This puts the \u2018mm\u2019 in summer. This\u00a0is the ideal heading for these curtains, as it gives a relaxed look. The fabric is so light it gives the impression of a makeshift pair of curtains. I could see these in a loft in Brooklyn!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can re-create this look by purchasing some of our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.loomandlast.com\/ep\/ready-made-curtains\/ready-made-curtains\/\">ready made curtains<\/a>\u00a0in Chalk, adding some\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dylon.co.uk\/product.php?alias=fabric-dye-for-machine-use&amp;products=product-info&amp;alias-product=bahama-blue-2\">Dylon Bahama Blue<\/a>\u00a0dye and dying them in your bath. Cheap, easy and so summery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>NB:<\/b> I recently had a dip-dye day with my boyfriend, who got over-excited and plunged his hands straight in the dye. This would be the ideal seaside guest bedroom, and the painted white floors with the lime green stripes make it look bright, fresh and clean.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This may seem unrelated, but there is a quote in\u00a0<i>The Great Gatsby\u00a0<\/i>that this image makes me think of: \u201cIt amazed him&#8211;he had never been in such a beautiful house before [\u2026] There was a ripe mystery about it, a hint of bedrooms up-stairs more beautiful and cool than other<b>\u00a0<\/b>bedrooms\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I\u2019d like to point out that I haven\u2019t yet seen Baz Luhrmann\u2019s version of\u00a0<i>The Great Gatsby<\/i>\u00a0and I seriously doubt the Buchanans\u2019 bedroom look anything like this.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brightbazaarblog.com\/\">Source<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">g<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fancy yourself some blue and white fabrics?
