I read an article the other day in one of the Sunday fashion supplements telling me that all I needed for Spring was a floral shirt. Ever one to cling onto the idea of owning one \u201cmust have\u201d item of clothing per season, mainly to avoid the crushing pressure (and debt) that comes with trying to be on trend 24\/7, my hunt began! Soon I discovered that big, bold flowers really are everywhere at the moment from the catwalk; to wallpaper; stationary\u00a0and beyond. Why not introduce some colourful blooms into your life this April and see if they don\u2019t put a little \u201cSpring\u201d in your step.<\/p>\n

Gucci’s much publicised Tropical Grandma\u00a0(I coined that one myself) Spring Summer 16 campaign was positively drowning\u00a0in flowers across both menswear and womenswear:<\/p>\n

Similarly, the Dolce and Gabbana SS16 collection was full of sumptuous patterns that would look as good on your sofa or bed as they would\u00a0in your wardrobe:<\/p>\n

Speaking of catwalks, French fashion designer Christian Lacroix whose brand is synonymous with opulence, fantasy and glamour, has a wonderful range of rich, theatrical fabrics and wallpapers available to buy\u00a0from\u00a0Designers Guild<\/a>. It doesn’t come cheap but if you crave the lavish and the unique then the House of Lacroix may\u00a0just be for you. Don’t forget to speak to\u00a0the Loom and Last<\/a> if want anything made into curtains or blinds:<\/p>\n

Or how about some artfully positioned blooms?\u00a0A row of individual, blousy hydrangeas will look magnificent against a white wall, while a big, theatrical\u00a0bunch of flowers\u00a0will bring drama\u00a0to a brightly wallpapered room:<\/p>\n
