When I think of chandeliers I think of sweeping, grand hallways and regal dinner tables with ceilings so high you can hardly see the Michaelangelo art they on them.
But I’ve been seeing some pretty chic, unusual chandeliers recently on blogs and at friends houses that actually give a relaxed look to a space, rather than making your room look like Kate Middleton’s atrium.
So here are a few ideas on how to rock chandeliers in style – they’re back!

Add a touch of elegance to your summer parties with these beautiful outdoor chandeliers. It’s a wonderful way to spend a long evening with friends and family – uber stylish and fashion forward too.

Recycle
I love this idea – using an old piece of drift wood and hanging bare bulbs to create an unusual and unique chandelier. Make sure the bare bulbs are slightly dim as otherwise the lighting could be too harsh. You might just find yourself a new chandelier on your next stroll along the beach!

Industrial
This is a great example of mixing up different styles. This is a real industrial-chic bedroom, with stripped brick walls and raw, rustic accessories. The grandiose chandelier adds a real sense of depth and elegance to the space, ensuring it’s not too cold or clinical.

Bright & beautiful
Why not use a new chandelier as an opportunity to add a bit of colour to your space? I love this bright blue against the dark grey decor – It’s a great way to add some unexpected brightness to a dark space.
