5 Ideas for a Home Office

October 24th, 2013 by Debbie

Working from home can be a real treat at times, but not when you’re working in a shoe cupboard. This post is dedicated to a few ideas for a home office. If you don’t have a room spare to dedicate to a home office, why not move in to a corner of the living room? Or kick your husband out of his study or kick one of your kids out of their bedroom. Maybe that’s a bit far… Anyway, here we go!

1.)

You can bring a splash of colour to your work space without having to paint the walls pink. Add in a few bright coloured books and a patterned chair (as pictured above) and your space will be brightened up in no time!

2.)

Calm Office Space

Working in a bright, light space will instantly make you feel motivated and as a result more productive. This pretty, pale office allows plenty of space for papers and doodles and will be a lovely, calming place to think up big ideas.

3.)

Living Room Office

This is a great idea if you don’t have a whole room to dedicate to a home office. Find a nook in your living room where you can put a computer and Bob’s your auntie! You can also surround yourself with books as pictured, and why not throw in a few quirky pictures of owls? That can’t hurt.

4.)

Again, this is a home office that can fit into your living or dining room. It’s important to make it feel like your own space, so this retro mesh chair and personalised letter above will let the whole family know not to go anywhere near your work.

5.)

Kitchen Office

Why not settle down in the kitchen? This incredibly practical fold out desk looks stylish and won’t clutter up your kitchen. You can store notebooks and stationery on the shelf and you’ll have plenty of room for a laptop to boot! This is the perfect solution if you’re struggling for space.
