Accessory of the week: copper

March 9th, 2015 by Debbie

Copper is popping up everywhere these days. In edgy restaurants, on show in the ceilings of bars, and now it’s all over interior design blogs. Copper is a cool and dynamic material to have in the home as it can be dressed up to be smart and shiny, or if you like the industrial look it can add a bit of edge to a clean, light space.

Here are a few ways to integrate copper into your home in style, and as you can see it looks great absolutely everywhere…

In the dining room

These globed copper lampshades give a masculine edge to an otherwise feminine space. The polka dots on the table cloth complement the round lampshades beautifully.

In the bathroom

This copper bath gives a real sense of decadence and luxury. Not only does it look fantastic but it’s so deep you could swim in it and the rich colour adds depth to the space.

In the hallway

I love these gorgeous copper plant pots. They look fabulous inside or outside and are a fantastic way of adding a bit of character to a bland hallway or entryway. Fill with beautiful exotic plants to make them even more quirky.

In the bedroom

A great way of incorporating copper into your space is by having a copper bedframe. Not only are they inexpensive but they look super-chic too. I love the exposed copper piping running up the wall too, adding some coordination to the space alongside the lampshade without overdoing it.
