Accessory of the week: LEGO
August 17th, 2015 by DebbieLego is one of the oldest and most-loved toys in the world. It’s for children of all ages and now with Lego architecture it’s not seen as just child’s play.
If you’re looking for a fun, easy way to make your home more bright and playful, look no further than your old Lego set. You can have some serious fun building and creating your own furniture and accessories, and it’ll definitely be adding a lot of colour to your space too. Here are a few ideas to get you going…

In the living room
If you find you have a lot of neutral colours in your living room, like beige below, or lots of grey and white, why not incorporate some Lego into your current furniture? I love this awesome coffee table, instantly adding a splash of fun to an otherwise conservative decor.

In the kitchen
If you feel like you really want to commit to the Lego look, you can build an entire kitchen counter out of the stuff. This is a playful room anyway, with brightly coloured coat hangers and fun stools. The Lego counter seals the deal in the fun stakes.

In the kitchen
Another idea for the kitchen is to build your own storage out of it. It’s fun, bright and you’ll save some cash too. Extra points if you have brightly coloured utensils to match!

In the hallway
A great idea for a bright, fun accessory. Create your own key hook from your old Lego set. It’ll attract attention as soon as guests come in the door and will brighten up your day every time you go to fetch your keys.
