Inspiration post: Bathtubs
December 2nd, 2014 by DebbieThere’s nothing like settling down into a warm bubble bath of a cold winter evening. There’s also nothing worse than an outdated tub, where your knees are by your head and you can’t have a good old lie down, fall asleep and wake up with your eyes full of bubbles.
If you’re thinking about updating your bathtub this winter, better start thinking about it now before Christmas. And here are a few ideas that might inspire you…

Stand alone
There’s something glamorous about a bathtub on legs. There’s no cistern beneath and I’m sure they were very popular in the Victorian age amongst royalty. I love how light the colours are in this bathroom making the room seem much more spacious. Darker colours would give this kind of setting a gothic look.

Make it modern
Most modern bathrooms consist of state-of-the-art showers and not much else. Bathtubs can still be contemporary however. Just team up with some dark, granite tiles and a simple colour scheme. This one looks like a boat as well which is unusual.

Get a jacuzzi
Bored of your everyday bathtub? It’s probably time you invest in a jacuzzi then. If you have a little extra space in your bathroom this is the ultimate crowd pleaser, and look super stylish too.

Create a sanctuary
It’s important to be able to fully relax in your bathroom, especially during a long winter. Make your new bathroom a haven for chilling, with scented candles and serene plants and decor. Might as well pop some water lilies in there while you’re at it.
