Unusual interior ideas

It can be difficult to feel like your interior is standing out from the crowd. It’s too easy to decorate your home with creams, greys and pale colours to stay on the safe side.

If you’re looking for some new ideas, here are a few ways to bring some originality to your space without making your home look like Lady Gaga’s boudoir…

In the bedroom

This is a fanatastic way of adding a little light and life to your bedroom, especially if its painted in neutral colours. You can find an old rickety ladder at one of the markets I listed in my previous post, or you can find them on Etsy. Add some big, statement fairy lights to add a little edge to your space.

In the bathroom

This is a great way to shake up your bathroom. Replace regular shower screens with these beautiful window features. It adds real character to the space and makes for an unusual look in the shower room. It’s subtle yet very stylish, and will add some originality to your space.

In the hallway

I love this idea – it’s such a simple way of transforming your hallway and is super easy to do. You can find old scraps of wallpaper – it can be floral or just plain colours, and decorate your stairs with it to create a vibrant new look.

In the kitchen

This is a fantastic way of jazzing up your kitchen, especially if you have kids. Putting  a chalk board behind your oven is a great idea as you can write your shopping lists, draw, create and have a whole load of family fun too. I love how this image shows different times under the clocks… There’s so much you can do!
